On Saturday, under hot August skies, a large crowd gathered in St. Peter’s Bay for the 34th annual St. Peter’s Bay Wild Blueberry Festival and Homecoming. Saturday’s events in the week  long celebration kicked off in the morning with a parade which started at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church and ended at the campground. Following the parade, a wild blueberry pancake lunch, children’s entertainment, musical entertainment as well as an ‘Out of the Sea and Over the Coals’ demonstration rounded out the day. The 2015 St. Peter’s Blueberry Festival Parade had a child’s theme and the parade Marshall was Sarah Booth. The long procession included many colorful floats including Faith Laybolt, Sydney MacVane, Laynee MacKinnon, Bailey MacDonald, Carmen MacVane and Christina O’Hanley representing  By The Bay Fish Mart.
