Under beautiful warm, sunny skies, a large crowd gathered at the Dundas Plowing Match & Agricultural Fairgrounds for the 75th annual event. The day kicked off with a parade followed by a midway with rides and games. Exhibits were set up on the grounds including ones by Young Millionaires of PEI and 4-H. In the afternoon, various plowing matches, which included the two-sod trailing plow class, one-sod hydraulic, oxen plowing and a lawn tractor pull were a big draw. Entertainment was provided by Peggy Clinton and Johnny Ross. Those in attendance also took in the livestock and open cattle shows, a ‘Savor the Flavors’ food demo, a soap making demo, Out of the Sea and Over the Coals as well as a cake-decorating demonstration. Charlie MacLeod was one of many competitiors in the plowing competition.
