The new owners of RJ’S Country Store, located at the corner of Baldwins and 48 Road, welcomed Brenda Davey, centre, to the official grand opening held Saturday. The Shaw family, which includes Robert, Stephanie, Jennifer and Susan, hosted a party to celebrate the grand opening of their new store and gas bar. Fiddler’s Sons entertained and on the barbecue was local, quality meats all afternoon courtesy of Shaw’s Meats. During the Grand Opening of RJ’S Country Store, on Saturday, July 21st, a red oak tree was planted in honour of the former owner, Doug Davey. Doug’s wife, Brenda, daughter, Kim Davey and grand-daughter, Kennedy Affleck are shown with Robert and Susan Shaw, the new owners. Hundreds of people attended the Grand Opening and were entertained by Fiddler’s Sons. The plaque and tree were donated by family friend, Rita Curran. Submitted photo
