The new look as doors open for business

Line-ups of patrons anxious for grooming was the order of the day this morning when salons and barber shops opened for the first time since non-essential businesses were locked down due to COVID-19 in mid-March. Long line-ups formed well before the doors re-opened for business in many locations. Staff at Tina’s Cut Above, on Main Street, Montague, had the situation in hand and were prepared to serve their clients but with a slightly different setup. All stylists are required to wear masks and clients have the option to wear one as they enter the shop. With Ms MacAulay, left, is Jeanie Nicholson. Since the doors opened at 7:30 am, Ms Nicholson says there has been no shortage of clients to keep the staff busy. Sean MacDougall photo
