Egg producers from across the province will be helping Islanders "Wake Up to Yellow" June 19.

A pop up market will be set up at the Old Triangle from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. offering a complimentary egg breakfast sandwiches and veggie egg wraps to help kick-start the day.

The event will also serve as an opportunity to meet and speak with local farmers and Get Cracking representatives to discuss the simple, nutritious benefits of eggs. The Charlottetown event is one of several being held across the country.

Event organizers intend to remind breakfast diners a single egg contains six grams of protein and fourteen important nutrients. Eggs truly are one of the quickest and easiest ways for people to ensure their body is getting the protein and nutrients it needs throughout a busy day.
