The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Forestry will hold its inaugural meeting September 29.

The committee, chaired by O'Leary-Inverness MLA Robert Henderson, will be developing a work plan for the fall months. The Pope Room of the Coles Building, which has been the traditional meeting venue for all legislature committee, is no longer available, as it has been transformed into the temporary home of the assembly while renovations take place at Province House. Instead, the committee will meet in the Committee Room of the J. Angus MacLean Building at 1:30 p.m.

The other members of the committee are Green Party Leader Peter Bevan-Baker, Bush Dumville (West Royalty-Springvale), Jamie Fox (Borden-Kinkora), Colin LaVie (Souris-Elmira), Tina Mundy (Summerside-St Eleanors) and Pat Murphy (Alberton-Roseville).
